IRB Administrator Leadership

You know the regulations. Now learn to run the office.

Who this is for

IRB administrators and coordinators stepping into, or newly in, a management role.

You can quote 45 CFR 46 from memory. But nobody taught you how to manage a review workload, coach a struggling coordinator, or tell a powerful PI no — and make it stick. This track turns strong regulatory professionals into strong managers.

What it covers

  • Running an efficient, defensible IRB office: workflow design, turnaround metrics, and board management
  • Managing and developing IRB staff and board members — hiring, coaching, and retaining in a tight labor market
  • Handling difficult protocols, difficult PIs, and difficult board dynamics with authority and diplomacy
  • Building toward AAHRPP-ready operations, so accreditation is a byproduct of good management rather than a scramble

Your capstone

A redesigned SOP or workflow for your own IRB office — built during the program, pressure-tested by your peer group, and presented at the summit. You leave with something your office can implement the following Monday.
